Powder Coating Quote Preparation

A useful Powderforce enquiry explains what the items are, their condition and the finish you want. Powderforce remains an operational powder-coating brand under Forgepoint Operations Pty Ltd, working alongside Westforge Works.

Identify the items

Include the item type, quantity, approximate size and material if known. Photos of the whole item and close-ups of damage, existing coating or corrosion help the workshop understand the enquiry. If you do not know the material or previous treatment, say so.

Explain the intended use

Tell the workshop whether the items are for indoor, outdoor, automotive, residential, trade or commercial use. Describe exposure or other requirements that matter to the project. The workshop should confirm suitability and the coating approach for the actual item.

Discuss preparation before doing it yourself

Do not assume that stripping, blasting or chemical treatment is required, or that it is safe for every component. Ask the workshop what should be removed or prepared before delivery. For automotive parts, disclose attached components and ask what disassembly or specialist work is needed.

Provide a finish reference

Give a colour code, range or reference photo where available and discuss the intended gloss or texture. Exact matching, suitability, masking and preparation requirements need workshop confirmation. A named colour range does not establish an approved-applicator certification.

Confirm the quoted scope

Ask whether preparation, coating, masking, handling and any other required work are included. Confirm acceptance arrangements, lead time and applicable care or warranty documents. Service-area descriptions do not promise collection, delivery or on-site work.
